Wonder Pets!

My niece, Isabel, loves the Wonder Pets. For her ssecond birthday, I made her this cake. It also worked out because the figures on top were her gift. It's just a white cake with buttercream frosting and fondant. It turned out pretty well for my lack of experience with fondant. Most of all, Isabel loved it and that's what really mattered.

Giant Cupcake

Who doesn't love cupcakes? It's you're own personal, little cake. And wouldn't love a giant cupcake even more? I probably should have put sprinkles on it, but it's carrot cake and cream cheese frosting. So, I thought that might be overkill.

Death by Chocolate

I used to have a boss that loved chocolate more than any woman I have ever met. This was his cake: triple chocolate fudge, chocolate fudge filling and chocolate frosting with chocolate curls. I think he took most of it home because no one else wanted to eat that much chocolate.

An Edible Gift

This cake was simply for the purposes of making a cake. I don't think we even ate it. Besides, fondant is not the best tasting substance.

Black Forest

This one was made with italian meringue, which was way too buttery. But the cake looks awesome. Jeff helped a lot with it.

Banana-Black Walnut Cake with Caramel Frosting

This was a fairly dense cake, much like a really good slice of banana bread with caramel frosting. But it was so good.

Ladybug

This is a cake I made for Clementine's 3rd birthday. This is my favorite of the cakes I've made so far. It was pretty easy and super cute.
